John’s Street (billboard)
- This site is a billboard space on John’s Street in Limerick city centre.
- John’s Street is home to Donkey Fords, one of the most quintessential Limerick chippers, which has operated for over 70 years.
- This billboard space hosted an artwork by artist Eimear Walshe (Ireland) titled How much no thanks (2020) for the 39th edition of EVA.
- The work features a photograph of Walshe standing next to a map of Ireland, with hand-painted tears falling down the artist’s face.
- It was one of three newly commissioned works that Walshe presented for the 39th edition of EVA, including The Land Question: Where the fuck am I supposed to have sex? (2020) and Trade School (2021).
