St. Brigid’s Church
- St. Brigid’s Church on St. Patrick’s Road was dedicated to St. Brigid on 9 February 1975.
- A notice inside the main door of the church states that the first church on this hill was built after the visit of St. Patrick to the area in the fifth century.
- This site was one of 23 venues for the 31st edition of EVA in 2007, curated by Klaus Ottmann (b. 1964, Germany).
- St. Brigid’s Church was one of numerous sites for a project by Miriam Lohan (b. 1975, Ireland), titled Ringing Limerick. On 7 May 2007, between the times of 11:15am and 11:45am, the artist organised 13 churches around Limerick city to ring their bells simultaneously.
- This performance was recorded and available to listen to after the event.
