  • This corner-sited Georgian townhouse has had many historic uses – it has served as an office, a gallery known as Goodwin Galleries, a café, and a dental surgery.
  • It was listed as a venue in the 2nd edition of EVA in 1978, curated by Adrian Hall, Charles Harper, Theo McNab and Cóilín Murray.
  • It was also one of twelve listed venues for the 24th edition of EVA in 2000, curated by Rosa Martínez (b. 1955, Spain) and titled friends + neighbours.
  • Rosa Martinez explained her title concept as one that ‘explores the multiple possibilities of conviviality between artists of different generations, various countries and diverse aesthetic positions’.
  • In 2000, when the venue was functioning as Dr Hennessy’s Dental Surgery, Maria Doyle (b. 1967, Ireland) exhibited a mixed-media drawing installation titled Drawing Frieze (1999).
