Cinema Café
- The Cinema Cafe is located on Nicholas Street in the medieval area of Limerick city, once called Englishtown.
- It occupies a space that previously held the Thomond Cinema that was open from 1936 to 1972. Various other businesses have operated out of this site, including a snooker club and an escape room.
- This site was one of nineteen venues used for the 41st edition of EVA International in 2025 presented as part of the Guest Programme, It Takes a Village, curated by Eszter Szakács in collaboration with the EVA team.
- During the opening weekend of the 41st edition of EVA International, Noor Abuarafeh (b. 1986) performed a lecture titled An Orange Tree, an Olive Tree and a Painting That Knows No Borders (2024/2025). In this lecture, Abuarafeh recounted a narrator’s personal and political journey through the fragmented landscape of the West Bank in Palestine.
