Instore, Ellen Street
Formerly known as Molly’s Nightclub, Instore Furniture Store
- Instore was a furniture shop that closed in 2011, citing the ‘collapse of retail trade’ in Limerick city centre. This building remained vacant for many years and currently houses the Limerick City Library ahead of the library’s eventual move to the Opera Site 2030 development.
- This site was one of 19 listed venues for the 26th edition of EVA curated by Apinan Poshyananda (b. 1956, Thailand).
- In this venue, Limerick-based artist Deirdre Power (b. 1963, Ireland) exhibited photographic work taken during a period of residency in America, titled The Change Forever (2001).
- Deirdre Power has presented work across multiple editions of EVA including 2000, 2006, 2012 and 2016.
