103–104 O’Connell Street
- This site has undergone many name changes but it is now the site of a KBC Bank.
- It is located on O’Connell Street, which was originally named George’s Street and was renamed in 1913 after the 19th-century Irish political leader Daniel O’Connell, who is commemorated with a monument at the Crescent.
- This site was one of ten listed venues for the 35th edition of EVA in 2012, curated by Annie Fletcher (b. 1971, Ireland).
- Presented here was a group exhibition featuring the work of Irish and international artists including Barbara Knezevic (b. 1977, Australia), Doireann Ni Ghrioghai (b. 1981, Ireland), Greg Howie (b. 1989, Ireland), Mark O’Kelly (b. 1968, Ireland) and Sam Keogh (b. 1985, Ireland).
- Doireann Ní Ghrioghai presented an installation titled Ruins, which incorporated multiple concrete and plaster forms, synthetically coloured with bright and gaudy pigments. The idea was to reimagine the fragments of classical architecture of Greece as totems of consumer capitalism and mass production in times of economic crisis.
